Millie Rose

Millie Rose was born during Spring Break & she joins a sister who is in my son's Kindergarten class & also a little brother. I have always loved white...it is so crisp & the pink with it makes it just so beautiful to me. I put her name centered across the top & centered between the chenille zig zag as well. The pink floral print is on the back side of the blanket & folded over here so you can see it.
I wanted to use the rose stitch for the border, but it is a really big stitch even when it is set on the smaller setting. I found out the hard way that it was hard to keep going straight since the material moves so much doing the design. So I modified the border & tried something new that turned out soooo cute. I only put the border on the 4 corners of the blanket & down to the chenille on the top. SOOOO pretty to bring in her middle name without stating it outright. I loved this blanket!

Unknown

They have yet to pick a name, but she is definitely a girl! I put the initial of her last name in the corner instead. I really liked this material!! So bright for spring. Big brother & 2 sisters are awaiting her arrival in 3 weeks by C-section. I always felt like it was so nice to have some new things just for the new child.
This is seersucker on both sides with a chenille zig zag across opposite corners. I rounded the corners as well to make it a bit more feminine--not that it needed it! I also used the circle motif on the border around the blanket. Very bright & very fun!

Gabriela

This goes out to my best friend from junior high school. We have remained friend from that point on & I feel honored by that. It is her second daughter & I wish them the best.Since spring is here, it is seersucker with a flower trim on the outside. Gabriela is such a beautiful name & despite its length, I wanted to include it fully on the blanket.

Logan

Logan came fast & furious into this world. He was almost born in the car on the way to the hospital, but waited until mom was wheeled into the ER! He has one big brother to watch over him.The flannel is super soft with sailboats on one side. I used a trim composed of circles to match the circles on the boat sail. Also, I used a diamond shape as the border around his name because it mimicked the sails of the boats.

Jamie

Jamie's mom is soooo ready for him to come out.....any day now. This friend is super down to earth & has another young son to share Jamie with. He loves to play outside & is all boy so I went with a nature theme for this child.
Lots of grasshoppers on flannel & the other side is just a polished type cotton tie dye print. I used a modified zigzag type trim because it reminded me of the shape of the grass on the flannel side as well as the triangles around his name.
